Mini Golf/ Epcot- day 3

On sunday we decided to take it a little easy, seeing as it is the sabbath. We had a lazy morning and then played some miniature golf at the resort. Mitch scored two hole in ones and I only got one so he probably won but we didn't really take score.

Later on in the afternoon my dad flew out so he could make it back for my grandpa's funeral and the rest of us went to Epcot which was extremely gorgeous because they were having a flower and garden festival going on at the same time. We rode several of the rides and then walked around through some of the countries but didn't get to see everything we wanted before it got dark but since it was already so late we decided to stay for the firework show.

On the way back to the car I decided to stop and take a picture of the big ball with the water in front because it just looked so neat all lit up at night. After I took a few pictures I looked around and couldn't find any of my family anymore. They had all gone ahead but to get out of the park you have to go around the giant ball on either side and so I had no idea which side they went on and of course I choose the wrong side and ended up getting pretty lost because I had no idea where we parked. I decided it was safe to stick with the majority of the crowd but they all ended up at the bus stop which I knew wasn't right so then I fought my way back to the regular exit and somehow ended up running into Mitch and my sister who were the one's who were suppose to wait for me. Moral of the story- always have a charged phone so you can call someone when you are lost :)

Animal Kingdom- day 5

Tuesday, we headed over to Animal Kingdom which had definately grown and improved immensely from the last time I was there and was probably one of my favorite parks- although that is really hard to say because they are all sooo fun.

We got there about the time it opened and went straight to the new Everest ride so we could ride it without much of a line which was good because we went on it about three times in a row- it was a great ride!! Then we went to it's tough to be a bug, the finding nemo show, dinosaur ride, took a walking tour and saw bats, tigers, some strange deer, and some other wierd animal that I can't remember the name of but it was a mix between a rhino and a horse. By this time it was way to hot and humid so we went home for some lunch and a short nap for the little ones as well as the big ones.

In the evening the boys went to the Blue Man Group concert and us girls went back to Magic Kingdom to ride a few rides we missed and watch the firework show.

Easter

I spent the week before easter down at my parents house in Utah because it was my mom's spring break so she didn't have to work. We had lots of fun and did tonz of shopping including a trip down to IKEA. Mitch drove down for the weekend and we went to the Air Force Museum on Saturday.

It had been a really long time since I had been so it was fun to see plus it is free so it is pretty hard to beat that.

Sunday the easter bunny came and as you can see he/she brought Addy a super cute dress and suprise, I got one too!!

Then we had a brutal easter egg hunt, only because my brother Alex was involved, we even had blood this year.

I think by the end Addy was the one who ended up with the most eggs even though she can't even eat the candy inside but don't worry I've done my share to help her.

Baby Chicks

My sister and her neighbor bought some baby chicks for their kids to play with for a week or so and then they are going to sell them on KSL. She brought them over to my parents house and they were so adorable. Addy thought they were toys and kept trying to grab at them and the chick would chirp really loud and try to leap away because she wasn't very soft, but they sure made for some cute pictures.

Look what I made!!

Mitch's sister, Lindsay, is getting married in May and I've been wanting to sew Addy a dress for the wedding. I thought before I buy all the fabric I should probably do a practice dress just to make sure it fits and looks okay. So I used some left over fabric from her nursery and went to town. I must say that I sort of impressed myself because I had to do quite a few adjustments to make it fit but in the end it turned out really cute. So now I have to go find some cute yellow fabric and do it all over again!!

Doggie Kisses

Okay, so it really wasn't a kiss but more like a nip. I was afraid this day would come when Addy would love Charlie but he would not love her back. Actually he really is good with her most of the time this was the first time in six months that he got a little aggressive and mostly it was because of the fist full of hair that she pulled from his backside. So I can't really blame him although he still got in lots of trouble and is going to get his hair shaved off which will hopefully remedy the problem for now. Hopefully it doesn't happen again or else we will have to say bye bye to the dog :)

Why my wife blogs

Okay. So as most of our faithful follwers know we at the Workman house have abandoned the intenet at home. Well that might be a little deceiving since I can access it on my phone. However, what that means is I am left to do the blogging when Melanie feels people need an update or she has the urge to show off new pics of Addisyn. I have only posted on this blog one other time and it was several months ago so I hope I am not a huge disappointment to you... well I mean as far as blogging skills are concerned. I know generally the "disappointment" question could be up for debate. Here goes nothing...

...I have been asked to post some new pics that my wife is in love with. I have to say as well that they really are pretty cute even though I try to keep "cute" out of my vocabulary.

Bathtime has become quite dangerous. If you look close enough you can see the water flying everwhere. Addy is extremely happy of course. and us?... well we had to run get our ponchos. I think this reminds of the "Splash Zone" at Sea World.

Addy has now past the 6 month mark and seems to be getting around quite well for not knowing how to crawl yet. Somehow she can scoot almost anywhere. As seen here she has made her way from the middle of the bedroom floor to her future hiding spot whenever mom and dad will ask her to do dishes. If she keeps moving like this that might be next week. You know we could always use the help around the house, and I have heard on more than one occasion to "train 'em young."

As for Melanie and I we are just taking things one day at a time. Trying to figure out what to spend our winnings on.... Oh, didn't we tell you. We won $13,400 at the reservation last week.

No that didn't really happen, but it's St. Patrick's day and we have the right to wish for such luck don't we?
