Exercising

These pictures crack me up because all I hear in my head is Addy saying, "What?...I'm just exercising".

She sure does love my weights.
Now I should probably go use them!

Another Day for Fred

We once again celebrated the annual Fred Shorts Day!
Here is a quick run-down of the evening.

Singing our own unique Fred Shorts songs.

I have to say us Workman's really stepped it up a notch this year and came up with a pretty awesome song.  I'll have to get the video and post it later.

Addy was our 'frontground' dancer!

Let the races begin!
We started with the youngest and the picture I really needed was of them all crying by the time it was over. It was pretty classic!

Moving up in age.

I think it was a tie.

Now the real fun begins.

At least there were no injuries or broken pictures this year!

I totally won a prize for attempting this while prego!

We ended the night with a traditional 'shorts on your head' picture.

Family Date Night

A couple weeks ago we went with some friends on what Addy called a 'family date'.  Usually we leave her home with a babysitter so she was pretty excited to come along.  We ended up going mini golfing and I was amazed at how much better she was this time around.  She actually ended up hitting all the holes without being bored.

After our 9 holes, we cashed in a few dollars and got ourselves some coins for the arcade.  This was all new to Addy but of course she caught on pretty quick and wanted to try everything.  The little carousel was one of her favorites.

Our last stop was to the grocery store to pick out a donut!  Sometimes Mitch really takes advantage of having a pregnant wife because under normal circumstances we never would've gotten donuts!

My Little Helper

When this girl gets in the giving mood, she is the BEST helper ever!   Today she helped vacuum including some of the stairs and sucking up all the hairs in the bathroom.  A few weeks ago I gave her a little rag and she went around cleaning all the light switches and then the vent returns (which were so nasty).  On this particular occasion she was being a penguin and ice skating around the kitchen and then decided she wanted to clean the back door.  Now I'm not saying she is like this all the time (wouldn't that be great!) but I am always happy with whatever help she will give me!

St. Patty's Day

We had another exciting leprechaun day at our house.  I never got pictures in the morning because we have early church and it is usually just me to get us ready because Mitch is at the church for meetings.  However we did have a special visit from Mr. Lucky again.  He didn't trash the house quite as much (I was too tired and lazy) but he left gold coins and treats along his path which was good enough for this girl. When we got to church, Addy looked around for all the people not wearing green. She found a little baby girl who didn't have green on and she leaned over and said, "Oh no, that little girl is going to get pinched!"  When I asked who was going to pinch her, she replied "the leprechauns of course!"  Too cute!  After church we made rainbow waffles for dinner.

More Dancing

Addy had another performance several weeks ago.  She was pretty sick with a head cold so I really wasn't sure how great it was going to be.  Then she threw quite a fit when we were putting her tights and shoes on. Yes, she still hates those dang seams in socks and tights.  I've pretty much stopped buying socks because they just sit in the drawer.  Needless to say I was really worried about how this dance was going to go.  Turns out I had nothing to worry about she was as cute as can be!  We even got it on video but it is on the phone so I'll have to post it later.

Another year older

Happy Birthday to Me!
I was pretty spoiled this year since we were down at my parents the weekend before my birthday.  I was in a great need for maternity clothes so that is what I got!  It is so wonderful to have cute things to wear again and I don't have to worry about stretching out my 'normal' clothes.
For my actual birthday, Mitch found a babysitter and we went out to dinner with some friends.  Then came back to our house where we met more friends and had some delicious homemade raspberry cheesecake.
I think one of my favorite parts of having a birthday is how excited Addy is to celebrate.  She probably drew me 5 different pictures and was constantly giving me hugs all day.  It was a wonderful day!

Lil' Monster Baby Shower

This was the cute little monster baby shower that we put on for my sister in-law.  It was so fun to put all the stuff together.  I was amazed at all the great ideas others had posted online so it was really easy to find inspiration.

The fun banner I designed.  It matched the invites we sent around.

I was so happy with how that hat turned out! It was the first time I've made something without a pattern.

My mom is so talented.  Isn't that just the cutest blanket!?

Our monster cake pops.

I loved these little guys.  We tied a whole bunch of them together as another banner.

The party favors.

Showing off some of the gifts she got.  Notice the box under her arm...it was covered in the cutest monster fabric and is perfect for those cards and baby things you want to save!

Just a few of the guests.

A Day of Love

Happy Valentine's Day!

We went to Walmart to grab a few things earlier in the day and of course they have Valentine stuff everywhere.  Addy became obsessed with wanting to buy a balloon but I told her we weren't buying anything for her.  Well of course that ended in a slight melt down as we were at the check out and everyone else was buying balloons.  By now I can't go back on my word just because she is throwing a fit so we left without a balloon and with a sad, sad kid.  Later we talked (again) about not throwing a fit just to get what we want.  Well, Dad really made her day when he came home from work with this giant balloon bear!

One of the big kids

It is so weird to have a so called 'big' kid.  I'm so used to her always being right around me all the time that this new stage of independence has been a bit of an adjustment for me.  She is all about doing things on her own (most of the time).  We live across the street from our church building which has these giant piles of snow from plowing the parking lot.  Addy likes to watch the older kids when they are out sledding and playing on the snow.  One day I put her snow stuff on while I was shoveling the driveway and after a little while of playing in the yard, she asked if she could go over and play at the church snow.  Which really isn't a big deal but for some reason it was just another reminder of how quickly she is growing up. Of course I couldn't let the moment pass without snapping a few pictures!
