Kansas City Part 2

We stayed an extra day after the reunion because it made it cheaper for our flights.  So we decided to spend the time exploring Kansas City.  We went to this Kaleidoscope place which is put on by Hallmark.  It is totally free and they just had tons of little craft and drawing centers all over.
This is the dark room where you use a light pen to draw on the wall.
These two are drawing a picture to make into a puzzle.
Addy is cranking the wheel to cut her puzzle.
My favorite part was how it was all decorated. It was amazingly fun and creative.
This was a washing station after the kids paint a face mask.
These were the dispensers for the paper towels outside the bathroom.
Next we went to the Crayola cafe for some lunch.

On our way to lunch we saw a sign for this free dinosaur exhibit so we went and checked it out.  It was another kid friendly interactive place.

After the dinosaurs, we drove over to the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum (at least I think that is what it was called).  It was another free activity.  My favorite was the sculpture park although the air conditioning was pretty nice inside too!

About half way through our walk around the park, Addy kept asking for her picture at every statue. So I literally have about 10 pictures with her in front of things!

Next we walked down a few blocks to the plaza for some cold stone ice cream.  Then soaked our tired hot feet in this awesome fountain.

I thought it was a pretty fitting way to leave the 'city of fountains'!
