The past couple weeks we have been in Boise while Mitch was taking some appraising courses to get his trainees license. I have to say that I am very proud of him because most days he would come home just completely bored from spending 8 hours in the same classroom listening to the same teacher but he stuck with it and passed his tests with flying colors. Now we only have two more years until he gets the real license!
While we were there we stayed with one of Mitch's cousins and his family which was super nice of them to let us stay for so long. I had never been to Boise so one of the days we drove downtown and saw part of the city including the capitol building and walking around the river which went past the Boise state stadium so we saw the blue turf but Mitch told me it wasn't worth taking a picture of. We did have fun chasing the ducks and freezing to death. One day we will go back when it is warmer so we can float the river and do a few more things outside.
The first week Addy was a little sick and then I caught the same little bug so we spent a lot of time just relaxing and scrapbooking. I can't believe how much I got done. This new phase in her life is really nice because she is finally getting to where she doesn't constantly need me and when she wakes up in the morning most of the time she will just lay there and play until I finally wake up and get her. Throughout the day I can keep her distracted with toys and books for a little while so I can get my house clean or play on the computer.
One of her favorite things to play with is my cell phone, it fascinates her. A close second is the bag of wipes because it makes a crinkly sound.
This is her just a few minutes ago if you click on the photo you may be able to see the drool all over her face. Too cute!

Hubby Tag
My cousin Geneve tagged me, and I thought this was a fitting tag since yesterday marked five years since Mitch proposed. Crazy how time just goes so fast.
1.How long have you been together? We've been married for just about five years.
2.How long did we date? Two months and then he left for the summer and I ended up dumping him (long distance doesn't work for me). When school started up again, I realized I just couldn't resist his incredible good looks or was it his intriguing personality? Needless to say, he won me over and we dated for about 4 months before we got engaged!
3. How old is he? 28-Yikes!
4.Who eats more? Mitch
5. Who said, "I love you" first? He did.
6. Who is taller? Mitch
7. Who does the laundry? This is one household chore that I really don't like to do so lots of times it gets washed and dried but then piled on the living room floor because I hate to fold it. After a day or so then we will both fold it and put it away.
8. Who does the dishes? Usually I do any from the morning and we both do them at night.
9. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are looking at the bed then Mitch. My side is closer to the baby.
10. Who pays the bills? Both of us.
11. Who mows the lawn? I love to mow the lawn because I like the exercise so it usually ends up that I mow the back while Mitch edges and trims and then he does the front.
12. Who cooks dinner? Both, usually when Mitch cooks we have breakfast for dinner. Don't get me wrong, it is delicious!
13. Who is more stubborn? Me
14. Who kissed who first? Mitch kissed me first in Porter Park (anyone from Rexburg knows where this is) all I have to say is after this day me and my roommates gave him the nickname "turbo"!!
15. Who asked who out? Mitch asked me out on Valentines Day- but he had also taken one of my roommates out a week or two earlier so we just thought he liked to shop around.
16. Who proposed? Mitch- we climbed a tree and he told me he had a question to ask and he reached into his pocket-I was very nervous- but then he pulled out these monkeys that pull apart and when they come back together they kiss and say "I love you". Then after a couple more minutes he got on one knee which was very difficult in a tree, and asked me to marry him. So you know the song- Two little monkeys sitting in a tree- well that was us and it couldn't have been more perfect for a gal like me.
17. Who is more sensitive? Me- Mitch never cries.
18. Who has more siblings? He does- 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
19. What were you doing ten years ago? I was in the ninth grade which was my first year of cheer and I think that was also the year I went to England but I could be wrong about that.
20. Five things on my to-do list: since I am in Boise and I guess sort of on vacation I don't really have much on my to-do list.
23. Things I would do if I suddenly become a millionaire: Pay off our house, buy a MDX, take a couple week vacation to Jamaica, stock up on our food storage, and get completely out of debt.
22. Three of my bad habits: procrastination, chewing my nails, over-eating.
23. Five places I have lived: Leesburg, VA; Georgetown, KY; West Des Moines, IA; Cincinnati, OH; Rexburg, ID
24. Five jobs I have had: Classic Rollerskating Snack Bar(high class), Classic Water slides, Fuddruckers, Cracker Barrel, Training Table, Converges, Pinnacle Office Secretary, Old Navy.
25. Things people don't know about me: I have a big lump on the top of my big toe on my left foot that is really squishy but doesn't hurt and I have no idea how I got it, I hate going places on my own (this drives Mitch insane), and I love the fact that my husband can be truly insane and other people always have to look at me to know if they should take him seriously, it is quite comical.
Well hopefully that did not completely bore you to death and if it did then I'm sorry. My life may not seem that great to other people but to me it is the best and I try to enjoy every moment of it!
I now tag: anyone who has not done this tag before. enjoy.

The new trick
Addy's new favorite thing to do is spit. I have no idea how she learned to do this but she thinks it is the funnest thing. When I am holding her in front of me and she starts blowing then I have to turn her away or else I get slobber all over my face. Also she just rolled from her back to her belly today which is a first. I can't believe how fast she is growing and developing but it is sure fun to be a part of it!!

Being Silly
I may have said this before but one of my favorite things about being a new mom is watching how Mitch and Addy interact. She LOVES her daddy because he is very silly. Most of the time I just shake my head and wonder what is wrong with him but Addy loves everything he does. She is very happy when he comes home from work and even if she has been sad with me all day, Mitch will pick her up and she will be all smiles.
I had to add this because the only reason Addy is smiling so big is because Mitch was making faces at her.
This morning while we were eating breakfast, Addy was getting whiny because she has been a little sick so Mitch started making these funny sounds and faces and right away she started grinning and laughing. Thank goodness the camera was right next to me so I quickly grabbed it and started filming. Mitch thought I was just going to take a picture and didn't realize I was filming this or else he probably would've stopped a lot sooner. Hopefully it puts a smile on your face like it does mine!!

Random Updates
So after being gone for a couple weeks over the holidays, it was very nice to pull back into the driveway and be home. It is always nice to see family but now that we have a kid it is just easier to keep a regular schedule when we are home. Although I am sure that in a few more weeks I will be wanting to go visit again :)
While we were in Utah, my brother in-law works at Kiddie Kandids so we took Addy in to get some updated pictures. It is just amazing how fast kids grow. I feel like we should be taking pictures every month to keep up with her but that will never happen. We definitely got some cute ones of her but we never could get her to give us a big smile, maybe next time.
I love this picture because Addy looks so cute because she is staring at Mitch and Gracie was done with pictures and just wanted my sister to hold her.
Here is a cute video of Addy playing with her new christmas toy from grandma and grandpa. I just can't believe how fun she is getting. If you watch her mouth in the video, she starts doing this sucking action. This is her new thing that she does with ALL toys that she sees because she desperately wants them in her mouth hence all the drool and slobber. She has also started giggling, it is really cute but it doesn't happen very often so hopefully soon I can get it on video.
I know I'm really behind but last night Mitch took me to see Twilight at the two dollar tuesday movie theater(one reason I love Rexburg). We took Addy with us because I'd kept her up all afternoon so I thought for sure that she would just sleep through the whole thing. We learned our lesson because ten minutes after the previews she woke up and Mitch ended up standing at the back of the theater until the last ten minutes. What a great husband I have!
As for the movie, I absolutely loved it. There were definitely parts that were only funny if you had read the book and I obviously still think the book is way better than the movie. But overall I was very impressed with how they stuck to the story line and by the end of the movie I was totally impressed with each of the characters. I can't wait to see what they do for the next book.
