Dad's birthday celebration!

My daddio had a birthday not too long ago and to celebrate, most of the family came up to Idaho!
We had lots of fun all weekend.
Friday morning, we started the day doing a temple session with some family names my mom had.  Then in the afternoon we headed down to the zoo.  The weather wasn't the greatest but it didn't stop us from having fun anyways.

These lions were a definite favorite. The kids enjoyed having roaring contests with them.
We got to the monkeys just in time for them to get their dinner which was fun to watch them jumping all over the place fighting for some food!

Later that evening after everyone arrived, we went bowling.
Usually I am a terrible bowler but for some reason I was awesome.  I even got two strikes in a row on the last frame!  Pretty proud of myself.

Brayden loved playing with the balls as they came out of the shoot.

The next day, Mitch and I headed back over to the temple to help participate in our ward temple day.
After lunch, we packed up and headed up to Jackson. We dropped Mitch off at the Bar J to save us a place in line and then the rest of us went into down to wander around the shops.  Once again it was rainy and a little chilly but there wasn't too much complaining.

Around 5:00 we headed back to the Bar J so we could be there for the fresh biscuits!
Then we put Mitch on the carriage with all the kids and the rest of us just walked the path.

Brayden did not enjoy the ride so I got him off and let him just walk around.

He was in heaven!

Yeah, we barely survived the bear attack.  Good thing my sisters are brave and fought him off!
It was such a fun weekend which went by much too quickly.  Other highlights were Mitch's famous and delicious crepes, grandma teaching the kids how to make stick boats to float down the river and grandpa paying for his own birthday weekend!  I have been so blessed with such an amazing family! We just missed Tyler and Karson since they had to stay back and work.  Maybe next time the weather will be just a little more sunny and we can head to the lake!

Cousin Week

In August, we had Gracie up for a fun cousins week. Sadly, I didn't take hardly any pictures of our fun adventures because my camera was acting weird. So I just have blurry ones from my phone.
For the most part they had lots of fun together!

On Monday, I had lots of errands to run and our first stop was the Verizon store.  We ended up being there two hours which could've been miserable with two little girls but turns out a camera is a great distraction and they were great!  When I went grocery shopping, they held my list with a pen and took turns crossing off all the stuff we got.

Seriously these two are such cuties!

The next day we went to the summer kid movie which was the chipmunk movie.  They spent lots of the movie dancing in their seats since it has lots of music in the show.
Wednesday we went to the pool.  Gracie was swimming and playing all over the place and Addy was so exhausted that she just wanted to sit in the chair and watch.
Just before we left, she totally fell asleep in the chair.  I was amazed because she never does stuff like this.
Another day we went to the zoo.  These girls loved it so much that we spent most of the afternoon here.  I just remember having to run Addy to the bathroom every half hour.  Apparently she was well hydrated that day!  There favorite animals were the goats.

The lion even though he spent most of the time asleep.

And who doesn't love the monkeys.  Especially when they come right over to the glass and stare at you!

We also spent a lot of time playing at the park and going on bike rides around the neighborhood. And since I was also in the middle of painting my bathroom, they were great to just play around the house too.  By the end of the week they were so tired that it was good to have a break from each other!

What do you do on a cool, cloudy day?

We went to the zoo. Turns out that is the perfect time to go because all the animals are out and fairly active instead of hiding from the heat.

Addy waved and blew kisses to nearly all the animals.

You "crack" me up. Haha- I know I'm pretty clever!

This was cute just because Addy actually knows how to say bird and what it means. So she would point and say "bird" in her little Addy voice which is very hard to imitate.

She loved the goats, probably because they are more at her level and she could actually get close to them. Although she would walk close to the fence and then when a goat came toward her, she would back away. We were to late to go in and pet them so we will have to try that next time and see if she bawls or likes it.

Truthfully, I think the otters were her favorite. One of them kept swimming right up to the window we were looking through and she just thought that was funny.

The baby zebra. Although this picture makes it seem bigger than it actually was. It was so cute with its skinny little legs.

The bears were out wrestling and playing.

Of course you can't come to the zoo without getting your picture in the lions mouth!

We had lots of fun at the zoo and will be coming back lots more since we got the annual pass! Just in case anyone else wants to come with us ;)
