Mustache/Little Man Baby Shower

I have the sweetest friends in the whole world. Honestly, they are amazing and they put together the cutest 'little man' baby shower for me! It was all around adorable from the invitations, decorations, games and food. They went all out and I loved it all. Just wish I would've taken more pictures of everything.

This was one of the games. We had to guess what was for lunch.

In this game you had to diaper the 'baby balloon' while being blindfolded. It is a good thing we have disposable diapers because I was no good at this game.

Bethany had also put together a little game where you had to guess all these famous people by their mustaches. I think I guessed three of the fifteen or so pictures. Deborah also had lots of diapers for everyone to write notes on. It will make diaper changes 'fun' to see what everyone wrote. Right?

To go along with the mustache theme we had milk and cookies. So cute. Also for a healthier option a veggie tray.

I just love this picture and can't thank these girls enough for putting so much into this shower for me. I just felt so special.
(What I wish you could see are the little bottles filled with m&ms and decorated with bow ties and vests that Deborah made. Seriously, they were so cute!)

Lil' Monster Baby Shower

This was the cute little monster baby shower that we put on for my sister in-law.  It was so fun to put all the stuff together.  I was amazed at all the great ideas others had posted online so it was really easy to find inspiration.

The fun banner I designed.  It matched the invites we sent around.

I was so happy with how that hat turned out! It was the first time I've made something without a pattern.

My mom is so talented.  Isn't that just the cutest blanket!?

Our monster cake pops.

I loved these little guys.  We tied a whole bunch of them together as another banner.

The party favors.

Showing off some of the gifts she got.  Notice the box under her arm...it was covered in the cutest monster fabric and is perfect for those cards and baby things you want to save!

Just a few of the guests.

Baby Shower

Several weeks ago I helped throw a baby shower for a good friend and neighbor.
We had such a fun time planning and the only thing she wanted was for it to be pink!  So we did a 'Tickled Pink' theme.  I made a whole bunch of tissue paper pom poms that I'd seen on pinterest and hung them around.

Another neighbor made these adorable cupcakes.  They were little babies under a blanket and then letter A's for Abigail who was the baby we were celebrating.  Seriously cute!

We played a game where everyone has to sculpt the baby out of playdough.  Turns out it was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be and Deborah had a tough time judging!

Then we played another game where you had to guess the baby item by just feeling the outside of a bag. I was so happy when I actually found pink lunch sacks at Walmart. It worked nicely with our theme!

It was a pretty fun time with lots of laughs, food, gifts and visiting.
As a party favor, I put together these little pacifiers.  They turned out even cuter than I thought they would. Yes, sometimes I even surprise myself!

And this is sweet little Abigail in her owl hat. I was so happy that it fit.

It was a HOOT!!

Last Saturday, my neighbor and I threw a baby shower for one of our friends. I did some searching online (its where all the great ideas are!) and found myself drawn to the darling little owl things I was finding so that ended up being our theme.

I realize this is a horrible picture of me but it is the only one I got.

We played 'whooose the baby' and had everyone bring a baby picture of themselves and then we'd guess who the baby was.

Another fun game was digging in a bowl of rice for safety pins. It was way harder than it sounds.

Then we played the messy diaper game. Apparently the key is to taste the chocolate???

We really confused this little girl. I think she went home thinking all babies poop chocolate!

And the whole reason you have a baby shower so you can shower the mother to be with gifts, and she was!

These were part of my gift, I think they turned out so cute.

Check out these awesome cupcakes we made. I found the idea online which was one of the reasons I went with the owl theme.

These were another reason:

I was really happy with how it all came together considering it was my first time being the host of a baby shower. Hopefully people had a hoot!!! And if anyone else wants to throw a owl theme baby shower, just let me know I have some cute stuff!
