Sunday Afternoon

I just had to include these first few photos because there is really nothing so cute and peaceful as a sleeping baby, even if he is about to slide off the couch. I did adjust him after the pictures so no injury occurred!

Seriously, he has the sweetest little face.
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we decided to take the short trip up to the temple and walk around the grounds. We are so lucky to have this beautiful building just a few short minutes from our house and I feel bad that we don't bring Addy here more often because just even walking outside there is a special spirit.
Also it is pretty great that Addy likes to take pictures and although we might have our heads cut off or be a little crooked, at least we have some pictures of Mitch and I.

And when one baby gets a little too fussy and the other girl starts acting a little too rambunctious, we head home.

Rigby Lake

Thanks to my cousin inviting us to tag along, we got another thing crossed off our summer list.  We love being spontaneous so when they texted to let us know they were headed to Rigby lake for the day, we quickly decided to join in the fun.  We borrowed a few tubes and packed up the sand toys and headed out for the day.  It was fun for Addy to have kids to play with, while us adults visited in the shade.  Mitch even got a nice nap while holding Brayden, which meant I got to float around a little on the tube and help Addy build an awesome sand castle.  I'd say it was a pretty great day!

Rexburg Rapids

We finally made it out to the water park this summer.  It was one of the things on the list and the best part was we didn't even have to pay!  The stake had reserved it for the youth and leaders and then invited all their families to come as well.  It was fun but next year will be even funner because we will all be able to swim instead of me just sitting and holding the baby.  We did dunk his feet in the water and he only screamed for a few seconds and then was fine once he got used to the change of temperature.

Addy still loved the lazy river and really wants/needs to learn how to swim so she can do the slides like the bigger kids!  She just wants to grow up so fast and do everything on her own.

hiking

We have such great adventurous friends.  It had been dumping rain in the late afternoon and still looked like it could be stormy and yet they all came anyway!
And the pictures pretty much say the rest.

This girl has serious style!

Caught in a very happy moment!

I will say it was so much easier to carry this little guy on the outside of me for this hike.  This way he wasn't squashing my lungs so I could actually breathe!

Can we say Smothered

I am afraid this poor boy is going to have two mothers his whole life.
Thankfully, he hasn't seemed to mind all the extra lovin'.

Cousin Love

The kiddos and I headed down to Utah for a week while Mitch was at scout camp.  I wasn't to excited about spending the week alone with two kids so we went to visit family.  Addy loved spending so much time with her cousins and it was a great break for me to have her busy all day.
I love that we have two boy cousins so close together.  They could cause some serious trouble as they get older!

These two girls LOVED taking care of the babies.  I just can't wait for a few more years when they can actually do it on their own!

It was a hot afternoon and he just fell right to sleep completely sprawled out!

Oh boy! You are so loved!
As you can see I only pulled the camera out for one day.  We also spent some time shopping including us girls going down to City Creek and out to P.F. Changs which was so tasty.  My dad also took us all to see the movie 'Monster University' and then cooked us up some delicious hamburgers. We also spent some time over at my brothers new house helping to paint and rip out carpet.  It was a great time with two little babies.  The week went by quick and I was once again reminded of how wonderful it is to be a part of such a great family.
